Zachary Hart
Owner & President
Zach got his start building homes in Okoboji, where the standard was simple: frame it right, finish it right, and don't cut corners where nobody's looking. That training stuck. When he came to Omaha, he found the work he actually wanted to do. Exterior construction and restoration. Taking a house that's been beaten up by weather or time and making it better than it was.
He founded Midtown Roofing & Construction in 2013 and has run it ever since. More than a decade later, he's still the one signing off on quality. Every MRC project gets a dedicated project manager, and every MRC project gets Zachary's review before it closes. That's deliberate. He's seen what happens when an owner steps away from the work, and he has no interest in finding out how that story ends at your house.
Ask him about restoration and he'll talk your ear off. He has a real eye for it: what a property could look like, what it's worth once it's done correctly, and where the last contractor went wrong.
Off the clock, Zachary is with his son Noah, on the golf course, or watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Santos Munoz
Production Manager
When a crew shows up at your house on the day they said they would, with the material they said they'd bring, that's Santos.
He's been in construction since 2016 and brought a business background with him, which shows in how he runs production. Schedules, sequencing, material deliveries, crew assignments. He keeps the moving parts from colliding.
Santos is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and that matters more than it might sound on paper. Roofing runs on communication between the office, the crew on your roof, and you. Something changes mid-project on nearly every job. When it does, Santos makes sure the message reaches everyone accurately, in the language they think in. Nothing gets lost on the way. Nobody has to guess.
He's a big part of why MRC projects stay on schedule and MRC job sites stay clean.
When he's off the clock, Santos is on the golf course or pulling for the Hawkeyes.
Grant
Senior Project Manager
Grant works the technical end of exterior construction, and he's built his reputation on projects that finish the way they were scoped.
He entered the industry in 2020 and has managed roofing and exterior work across the Omaha metro ever since. He also handles asbestos roof abatement, which is genuinely uncommon experience. Plenty of older commercial buildings and pre-1980s homes around Omaha still have asbestos-containing roof material up there. Removing it is regulated, documented, and unforgiving of shortcuts. Grant has done it repeatedly and done it correctly. If your building is older and there's a question about what's on the roof, he's the one who answers it.
On a standard project, that same discipline shows up as clean documentation, honest timelines, and answers you can act on. He'd rather tell you something you don't want to hear on day one than surprise you on day ten.
Away from work, Grant is usually on the golf course or making the most of time with his nephew.
Allie
Administrative Assistant
Allie is usually the first person you'll talk to at MRC, and she's the reason your project doesn't fall through the cracks.
She runs the coordination: crews, project managers, inspection appointments, build dates, and the follow-up calls that most contractors never get around to making. If you've ever called a contractor and simply never heard back, you already know how rare that is. Allie came out of sales, where she learned early that returning a phone call is most of the job.
She also tracks the details behind every project. Paperwork, timelines, who needs to be where and when. When something needs attention, she's flagged it before it ever becomes your problem.
Most of her work happens out of sight. You'll notice it anyway, in the fact that things actually happen when somebody said they would.
Outside the office, Allie is outdoors, with friends, or in the kitchen. Cooking for people is how she tells them she cares.
